The narrative of the evolution of the house, has chapters, it is constantly written, it evolves and has no end.

WHO WE ARE THE HOUSE OF AZIZ AND WALID MOUZANNAR, GENERATIONS OF JEWELRY EXPERTISE…
Since the 18th century the Mouzannar Family has been established as leading fine jewelers in the Middle East. In the 1950s the late Aziz Mouzannar and his brother Walid made significant contributions to the transformation of Beirut’s Jeweler’s Souk, positioning it as a main jewelry destination for the entire Middle East.
The Lebanese Civil War destroyed the Souk, but it did not affect the prestige of the Mouzannar family whose name remains as an absolute reference in the jewelry industry. The creations made by the house of Aziz and Walid Mouzannar are inspired by Middle Eastern tradition and antiquity with a contemporary feel, making them timeless classics, sought for their high value and emotional substance.

Harnessing the accumulated know-how of a heritage family business dating back to the 18th century, the historic Mouzannar fine jewelry brand is fortified today by the visions, viewpoints and identities of two different designers: Dori Mouzannar and Alia Mouzannar.
Both creating exclusive Work of art, beaming and glittering with family history
Both are sketching out their own versions of the family signature using the same artisanship the world has come to know over more than two centuries.
A history of excellence combined with the energy of a new generation has seen the Mouzannar brand go from strength to strength, recently collaborating with Zaha Hadid, and entering new markets such as the renowned fashion portal of Dover Street Market in London, alongside Qirdala in Kuwait and of course at home in Beirut.

Heritage is what it all comes down to. Love of tradition, and passed on knowledge and stories from the elders. This is what Alia and Dory carry with them, with the confidence of belonging to the AWMOUZANNAR HOUSE of Master Jewelers.
In their blood runs the respect of stones, the passion for design, the perfection of the craft, sensitivity, practicality, and the enduring life of their creations.

THE COLLECTIONS IN THE HOUSE
THE HOUSE COLLECTION is made of two main collection, and one honorary collection.
AWMOUZANNAR COLLECTION/ THE HOUSE OF MOUZANNAR: Classical designs, new designs, vintage jewelry. Refined jewelry, Pieces done of taste, pieces created out of one unique stone, or one unique idea, collections without true individuality, because we still have the old generations of jewelers and clients. Still the house is major in keeping the reputation, but not driving new sales. Not le cheval de bataille!
(Define later when and how to communicate)
THE COLLABORATIONS
Dori Mouzannar, Alia Mouzannar’s and a creative collaboration with Zaha Hadid just designed a range
of exquisite cuffs designed and created and rings that unquestionably conveys their passion and inspirations. Dori Mouzannar & Alia Mouzannar’s work is contemporary and expressive, yet grounded with a genuine understanding of materiality and craftsmanship. But most importantly what Zaha Hadid wanted to link herself with the most is that genuine and seductive story with the family and the tradition of creative jewelry business.
The Silene Collection is informed by the fluidity and complexity of natural systems. An intricate web gently envelops the pristine gold pieces resulting in ethereal elements that explore the evolution of organic geometries and patterning.
Inlaid with diamonds that float between the fluid forms to accentuate their overall composition, the pieces orchestrate an ever-changing play of refraction and reflection that convey dynamism and formal complexity.
Zaha: “Alia’s work celebrates materiality and composition in the rich history and traditions of Lebanon’s jewellers. Each immaculately detailed piece conveys formal complexity and precision with the highest standards of craftsmanship. Our collaboration with the House takes full advantage of Alia’s expertise and Dori's knowledge to explore the beauty of natural forms and the unique properties of its materials.”
“We chose to collaborate with Hadid because she is a great artist, a friend and our visions are aligned,” Alia Mouzannar “The concept is hers and it combines `{`Hadid’s`}` spirit, transmitted through jewelry,” Dori Mouzannar “It is a very contemporary collection that involves a very strong spirit, which is rich and feminine yet delicate,” Alia Mouzannar “We started with one piece and we were very excited after noting the success it made and we thought of pushing the idea even more and worked on a whole collection,” Alia Mouzannar .
“Our collaboration with a great artist created a collection imbued with the vision of an architect and our heritages, craftsmanship and knowhow,” Dori Mouzannar .
“It is a very challenging and exciting collaboration and the beginning of a long journey,” Alia Mouzannar
IDEAS TO DEVELOP THE COMMUNICATIONS
THEMES OF STORYTELLING: the house of stories would feature stories from Walid, Dory and Alia and the family about jewels. Genuine, particular, not cliché, to record storytellers telling (not reading) a single narrative with no complicated props, set design.
Alia through her own stories an fables and experience. Jewelry becomes an alibi to tell stories.
Dory’s jewels if about the Hall of fame of these women. Characters, and personalities, and stories of coming of womanhood age.
The rules of elegance, is a theme on it’s own. It is what to wear and when! The idea to wear luxury pieces on a daily basis, the real idea about jelwery, un bijou c une histoire, un sens, un fetichisme, un souvenir related to emotionsThe Lebanese Civil War destroyed the Souk, but it did not affect the prestige of the Mouzannar family whose name remains as an absolute reference in the jewelry industry.
